Deborah Jacobson received a BA in Theater/Voice and Literature from New York University and a Masters of Sacred Music and Ordination of Hazzan (Cantor) from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.

Before following her calling of becoming a Cantor, Deborah performed in several off-Broadway plays, a number of TV shows, musical reviews and independent films. She is a member of Actors EQUITY/SAG/AFTRA.

Deborah continues to entertain and inspire audiences at concerts and special events throughout the country with an eclectic mix of music ranging from Hebrew and Yiddish songs to favorite Broadway show tunes, Classical and Popular music.

She has sung at numerous concert halls for interfaith communities including the Palace Theater in Stamford, CT, with the Sarasota Orchestra at the Van Wezel, and at the Annual Holocaust Museum Gala in Tampa, Fl.

Deborah’s CDs, Bimah to Broadway Act 1 and  Act 2: The Concert, were recorded live from her first cabaret style concerts. Chanukah Live, features Deborah and Temple choirs under her direction, performing in an annual community wide Gala Chanukah Concert. Shabbat Unplugged, is from a unique musical spiritual service she created with upbeat, contemporary tunes and a full band.   Her newest CD of Songs of Healing & Hope is available now.
