As a self-motivated entrepreneur, Deborah published her 1st book, Survival Jobs: Being Creative Is Great But So is Eating! in 1996. It quickly became a Quality Paperback Book Club selection and was then picked up by Broadway Books and published in 1998. Another edition, 150 Jobs You Can Start Today was published by Broadway Books in 2003.

Deborah Jacobson has appeared on TV shows locally and nationally such as Good Day New York, AM Northwest, Lifetime, NBC Weekend Today and ABC Eyewitness News in the Morning. She has also been heard locally and nationally on over 60 radio stations including NPR.
